Yellow Rose is an opportunity to bring the fine art of musical theatre to our community in Glen Rose Texas. Our mission is to help performers grow and progress in the musical theatre world. Our classes this semester are here to help you build the perfect foundation to pursue performing arts.
Aubrey Ward has been involved in local theatre for 7 years. In this time her accomplishments include but aren't limited to starring as Margot in BRIGHTSTAR, Anne Gilbreth in CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN, Ursala in the LITTLE MERMAID, and directing a homeschool production of the LION KING JR. Before seriously pursuing musical theatre, she spent 3 years as a horse-riding instructor at Jubilee Acres owned and operated by Cyndi Cooke. She is also currently working with the Crowley Homeschool Co-op as the teacher of the Puppet 101 performing arts class. She absolutely loves contemporary musicals like Legally Blonde, which she hopes to one day star as Elle Woods. It has been her dream to build her own theatre and make the world a better place one musical at a time.
Ava Shields is so excited to teach! She has been singing professionally for 10 years but recreationally for 14. Musical theater is her passion and she hopes to ignite that same spark in the younger generation! You can find her doing youth shows with the Granbury Theater Academy and main stage shows with the Granbury Theater Company and Weatherford College. She also does princess parties in her spare time and loves to bake.
Hi! My name is Clayton Lankford, I’m a new teacher at “Yellow Rose Theatre.” I have taught children before, and I’ve done Theatre for years. Specifically, I’ve done Theatre for 2-3 years now, and taught for about 6. Super fun fact: I am a second degree blackbelt in mixed martial arts. I’m a hardworking, attentive, caring person, and I promise to look after everyone who attends this class like they are my own. If you ever want to find me, I do shows at the Granbury Opera House, the Granbury High School, and most recently the Weatherford College. I’m so excited to start this new chapter in my life, and hopefully in our students as well!
My name is Gage Ramos, I’m 18 and have been doing Theatre for almost a decade. I’m a new teacher at “Yellow Rose Theatre” joining with Clayton Lankford. I’ve done shows down at Weatherford College, Granbury Opera house, and Granbury Highschool, I make short films such as Funny Bone and Silent Woods. I plan to be attending college this upcoming year. I’ve been friends with Aubrey Ward for 3 years now, and I’m looking forward to help foster those interested in theatre!
